Getting involved couldn't be easier, there is no membership fee, we only ask that you read follow a few simple rules.
You don't need to be a member to get involved in your community though, for example many people do their bit by picking up litter to keeping Chatteris clean. Or if you live on the judging route, you can support us by showing off your garden!
Chatteris Town in Bloom also runs the Chatteris StreetPride group. We strive to keep the town looking clean and tidy alongside the street cleaning carried out by Fenland District Council. StreetPride arrange litter picks around the town for groups of volunteers to lend a hand towards eliminating litter grot spots. Come see James on the first Saturday of every month, by the bandstand at 10am - gloves and pickers provided!
If you would like to join in and help in Chatteris For more information on this group see http://www.fenland.gov.uk/article/2536/Chatteris-Street-Pride-Group-and-Chatteris-Town-in-Bloom
We also hold a regular weeding session on the third Saturday of the month. At 10 am we meet at the bandstand.
Chatteris in Bloom has re-launched the FREE group for children called Little Bloomers.
Our aim is to encourage children to learn about the world around them and learn how to care for it. There is no age limit, even grown-ups can join in!
Our next event is Tree Decorating at the Church on Friday 30th November, from 3:30 - 5pm - we have all the decorations, we need help putting them on the tree. Sll welcome, but bring a grown up!
