Getting involved couldn't be easier, there is no membership fee, we only ask that you read follow a few simple rules.
You don't need to be a member to get involved in your community though, for example many people do their bit by picking up litter to keeping Chatteris clean. Or if you live on the judging route, you can support us by showing off your garden!
To find out more contact us via facebook, twitter or email [email protected] or come along to one of our monthly meetings on the 2ndThursday of each month. call on 07539312137 or send us a message above.
Chatteris Town in Bloom has close links with the Chatteris StreetPride group. Both strive to keep the town looking clean and tidy alongside the street cleaning carried out by Fenland District Council. StreetPride arrange litter picks around the town for groups of volunteers to lend a hand towards eliminating litter grot spots.
If you would like to join in and help in Chatteris For more information on this group see http://www.fenland.gov.uk/article/2536/Chatteris-Street-Pride-Group-and-Chatteris-Town-in-Bloom
We also hold a regular weeding session on the third Saturday of the month. At 10 am we meet at the Town Council Office in Church Lane. All welcome.
Chatteris in Bloom is launching a new FREE group for children called Little Bloomers.
Sessions will range from making bug huts, to planting and weeding.
Our aim is to encourage children to learn about the world around them and learn how to care for it. There is no age limit, even grown-ups can join in!
Most sessions will take place at the King Edward Community Centre, some sessions will take place at locations around the town.
Volunteers who run the sessions have been DBS checked and have received training in Paediatric First Aid.
Places are limited to 16 children per session, to book your place contact David Isaacs [email protected]
